About The Product
What is tea tree oil?
Tea tree oil (melaleuca oil, if you want to get scientific) is derived from the leaves of the Australian tea tree plant. It’s known for its odor eliminating, air purifying, and cleaning properties.
How does Azuna work?
Azuna uses a low-concentration tea tree oil-based formula to absorb the odors caused by mildew, bacteria, fungi, and other microbes. Its microscopic particles actually clean your air, rather than masking odors. For a quick how-to video featuring our Luxe Glass jars, click here.
How do I use Azuna?
Our product recommendations depend on what kind of odor elimination you’re looking for. If you need a quick burst of freshness, check out our Ultra Mists to clean and deodorize everything from clothing and upholstery to surfaces like kitchen countertops. Our wipes provide that same level of protection for any non-porous surfaces. And our bestselling Luxe Glass jars are perfect for set-and-forget freshness for up to 90 days.

How long does Azuna last?
The length of time depends on what product you use. Our sprays provide a more immediate burst of freshness, while our gels maintain constant odor protection for 60 to 90 days. Azuna’s dissipation rate may increase if you’re using it to combat heavy smoke or pet odors, or near a fan.
How much gel should I use?
Each ounce of gel covers approximately 100 square feet for 60 to 90 days. That means you’d need 12 ounces of gel to cover the average two-bedroom apartment (in America, that’s 1,200 square feet). Our 24 ounce gel refill pouch covers 2,400 square feet—the average size of a single-family home.
How much gel does each jar hold?
Each Luxe Glass jar holds up to eight ounces of gel—enough to cover 800 square feet for 60 to 90 days. Whether you fill the jar fully or halfway is personal preference; some customers prefer to fill halfway for lighter use, while others use all eight ounces for areas with high traffic or heavy odors.
How do I open the Azuna pod?
Using our 2 ounce plastic pods is simple. Remove the lid to peel off the inner seal, then replace the lid and remove that top sticker. All that’s left? Set where needed and take a deep breath. When your gel turns amber and begins to solidify, it’s time for a refresh. That generally happens between 60 and 90 days, although high-traffic areas may require more frequent refills.
How will I know when it is time to replace?
As your gel removes airborne odors, it begins to turn yellow and harden. Once it's fully solidified, it's actually still effective for up to another 30 days.

How do I remove and dispose of the old gel?
Because our gel is plant-based and biodegradable, disposal is simple. Scoop out your old gel using a spoon or paper towel, then toss in the trash or rinse down your garbage disposal with a splash of hot water (please note: gel should not be washed down your sink if you have a septic system). A quick wipe of your empty jar with a fresh paper towel is all you need to prepare for an immediate refill.
How do I clean my glass jar?
Our gel is biodegradable and plant-based, so you won’t need to do much. Once you’ve disposed of your old gel, simply wipe the container out with a paper towel. You can also rinse leftover gel down your garbage disposal for a final refresh (but not if you have a septic system, please). If you’re looking for a more thorough clean, you can wash the jar with soap and water—but no need to wash the lid.
The lid is stuck on my jar. Now what?
We’re sorry about that! No worries, though—its an easy fix. Just run the side of the jar lid and all, under warm water for 15 to 30 seconds. That should loosen it so it opens right up. If it’s still giving you trouble, send us an email at contact@azunafresh.com, and we’ll sort it out for you right away!

What do the different scent options smell like?
All 13 of our scents are subtle, because we’re in the business of eliminating odors—not masking them. To check out our full list, the “choose scent” dropdown here contains all descriptions. And if you want to sample smaller sizes of our bestselling favorites, we recommend our Fresh Collection Variety Pack.
What are your ingredients?
We keep our plant-based formulas simple and clean. Approximately 95% of our formula consists of two all-natural ingredients: tea tree oil and water. We include other minor, inactive ingredients to help the formula stay mixed and provide a measured release of tea tree oil over time. That’s a proprietary polymer blend that relies on ingredients commonly found in foods, medicines, and bath or body care products. Every Azuna product is vegan and cruelty-free.

Safety Information
Is it toxic? What if my cat/dog/child ingested some?
Azuna is not toxic when used as directed. Because our active ingredient (pure, 100% Australian tea tree oil) is completely natural and environmentally safe, Azuna shouldn’t cause a reaction if it comes into contact with the skin unless there’s an underlying allergy. And, as a low-concentrate gel, it shouldn’t cause any long-term issues if ingested orally. However, our products aren’t meant for topical use. If you’ve ingested Azuna, please call the Poison Control Center at (800) 222-1222.
Is Azuna Safe for My Pets?
Azuna’s low-concentration tea tree oil formula is safe for pets when used as directed. None of our products disperse tea tree oil droplets like a diffuser; instead, they release minute particles into the air. However, it’s important to handle Azuna like you would any other household cleaning product, and ensure that it’s never applied topically or ingested by your pets. Like humans, your pets may have different sensitives. If your pet exhibits any sensitivities or allergies to Azuna, discontinue usage immediately.
